Mrs. Pearce teaches Kindergarten at Medart Elementary. She has 8 years of teaching experience and loves teaching Kindergarten. Her goals for the class are to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment and help children develop academic and social skills. The class will focus on reading, math, science, social studies, handwriting, work habits and citizenship. Children will have homework each week to do with their families and there will be field trips planned throughout the year. Communication with parents will occur through newsletters, the classroom blog, and parent-teacher conferences.

8. HomeworkYour child will have a developmentally appropriate homework activity each week. Homework activities are designed to do TOGETHER with your child.Your homework packet is sent home on Friday morning and is due the next Thursday.A small completion grade is given when homework is returned.

9. AttendanceSchool starts at 8:50 A.M. If your child is not in the classroom by the time the second bell rings, check in at the school office before coming to class.If your child will be absent please contact me or the front office to let us know.Send in a note or email to me on the day your child returns that briefly explains the absence.
