This study analyzed uterine sarcoma cases treated at a single institution in Saudi Arabia between 2000-2012. Uterine sarcoma makes up 3-5% of uterine cancers and presents at a younger age. The study found the 2-year disease-free and overall survival rates were 30% and 22%, and the 5-year rates were 14% and 14%. Advanced age, lymphovascular invasion, lymph node involvement, and lack of chemotherapy or radiotherapy were associated with poorer outcomes. The prognosis of uterine sarcoma is generally poor with high recurrence rates.
