work.

4. Science has changed our world in so many ways, and some
inventions have forever changed the way our world works
and is run. Cars for example, have forever changed
transportation, and continue to change it. Each day new
cars are created with better fuel options, and smoother
safer rides. Imagine if we still rode horses everywhere!
Someone living in Italy would likely never get to experience
a beautiful sunset in the United States, and vice versa.
6. While land line telephones are seemingly outdated, they
opened the door towards the discovery and creation of
cellular phone technology. Cell phones and phone
technology in general has shaped our communication. It’s no
longer impossible to communicate with someone 6,000 miles
away, or to send videos instantly through your phone to a
parent that is a couple hours away from you! This technology
has created wonderful communication doors available for
nearly everyone to use.
8. Electricity is also one of the major scientific inventions
that have changed the way we live in the world. If
electricity had never been discovered we wouldn’t
have even a fraction of what we have in the world
today. No microwaves, no electric stoves, blenders,
and so much more. Electricity has opened new doors
for food, lifestyle, and communication.
10. The advancement of medical science and technology has
changed the landscape of health and illness. Not only are
people living much longer, they are living with chronic
illnesses that would have been fatal twenty years ago. This is
true in adults and children, resulting in the need for providers
who can manage the on-going health needs of persons of all
ages. The necessity for practitioners who focus on the
promotion of health and wellness and the prevention of
disease has emerged as not only a good and wholesome
thing to do in our society, but also as a means of addressing
escalating medical costs.
12. Technology affects almost every aspect of our lives. Just look
around you and you'll see how wired we are. Thanks to the
Internet, virtually anything you desire can be delivered to your
door in a matter of days. Personal information is more accessible
over the Internet as well. You can look up everything from a long-
lost cousin to the registered sex offender in your neighborhood.
You can even trade stocks or file taxes online. But as much as our
personal lives have changed, the business world has
revolutionized almost beyond recognition in the past few decades.
Technology -- and we mean the advances in communication and
information technology -- has changed the face and the pace of
business.
14. Developments in food technology
Several companies in the food industry have played a role in the
development of food technology. These developments have
contributed greatly to the food supply. Some of these
developments are:
Powered Milk
Decaffeination
of Coffee and
Tea
Process
optimization
High-
Temperature
Short Time
Processing
Freeze Drying
