NSIT ROTARACT CLUB
“Service Above Self”
INTRODUCTION
 Official social service club of NSIT.
 Part of Rotary International.
 Currently has 600+ members from among present
NSITians.
Objective:
o Address social and physical needs of community.
o Enhance leadership and management skills of
students.

 Goonj
o NGO with motto: “Clothing : A matter of concern”.
 Masoom Duniya
o NGO dedicated to mentally challenged children.
 Career Launcher: Our Education partner
 Jaagriti
o NGO dedicated to the cause of teaching poor children.

EVENTS
“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we
have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
Touch a life, share a bite
 A day long event where volunteers from different years make
sandwiches .
 Distribution of the sandwiches among kids of NGO Jaagriti and
underprivileged children in our campus.
An effort to bring a smile on the weak and malnourished
faces by making sandwiches for them.
Masoom duniya
 The children of Masoom Duniya
come to NSIT for a day.
 Presentation of singing and
dancing skills by the children.
 Rotaractors help them get ready
for their performances.
An opportunity for kids of Masoom Duniya, an NGO dedicated to
mentally challenged children, to display their talent.
JOY of giving week
 Collection boxes kept in
college premises.
 Books, stationeries, clothes,
etc collected.
 All items but books sent to
NGO Goonj, and books sent to
Avanti.
Week-long Collection Drive at NSIT
SADBHAVNA
 A fun-filled day spent with kids of NGO Jaagriti.
 Events like talent round, art and craft workshop, movie
screening and sports activities with children.
An effort to make a day special for the kids of Jaagriti, an NGO dedicated
to the cause of underprivileged children, focusing on education.
Fundraising @ nsit
 Greeting cards made by kids of NGO
Jaagriti and chocolates made by NGO
volunteers sold at nominal rates
within campus during valentine
week.
 Money collected is donated to
Jaagriti.
Raising funds for NGO Jaagriti by selling greeting cards and chocolates.
NGO visits
 Visit to Samvedna, an NGO which helps physically and
mentally challenged people.
 Visit to Goonj, an NGO which acts as a bridge between
urban India‟s under-utilized resources and rural India‟s
unaddressed needs. Opportunity to witness its working.
RyLA
 An intensive training program that brings together youth and
young adults, ages 14-30, to further develop character
and leadership skills and learn about Rotary.
 RYLAs often take the form of a seminar, camp, or
workshop, generally 3-10 days in length.
 Opportunity to build self-confidence, gain exposure to a variety of
issues and people, meet active community leaders, and learn
valuable information and career skills.
 This year RYLA was organized at DPS, R.K.Puram.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
Rotasia
 One of the most awaited and
biggest events on the South-East
Asia Rotaract calendar every year.
 This year it took place from 30th
January till 2nd February, 2013 in
Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh.
An international conference of Rotaractors and Rotaract Clubs in
South Asia.

An opportunity to interact with fellow Rotaractors from
various districts across the world.
Inter District Youth Exchange
Other events
 Blood Donation camps within campus in association with
Rotary International.

NSIT Rotaract - An Overview
