Endangered Species in Portugal: Lynx, Eagles and Rare Plants

2. Animals NAME OF SPECIES: Common: Iberian lynx. Scientific: Lynx pardinus. An Iberian lynx is like a cat but bigger. It is carnivore and eats mostly wild rabbits. In the Iberian Peninsula there are only 140 lynx.
3. NAME OF SPECIES: Common: Imperial eagle. Scientific: Aquila adalberti. Robust and yellow beak. Very dark brown and white plumage. The imperial eagle eats small mammals and some birds of medium size.
4. Plants NAME OF SPECIES: Common: Morning glory of Espichel Scientific: Convolvulus fernandesii Lives in crevices of limestone outcrops and unstable substrates along the cliffs with southern exposure. Flowering takes place from February to June. The colour is white.
5. NAME OF SPECIES: Common: Algarve diabelha Scientific: Plantago algarbiensis It´s a small bush. Its leaves are linear and sharp with short branches.
