OBJECTIVES: Define values. Identify the Myths promoted by media. Explain how media distorts some traditional values. Enumerate the bible’s guidelines in using and enjoying media.
OBJECTIVES: 5. Name a movie which addresses the guidelines in using and enjoying media.
VALUES These are things that really matter to each of us specifically ideas and beliefs we hold as special.  *Caring for others, for example, is a value; so is the freedom to express our opinions.

Myths promoted by Media The world is dangerous, we need ammunition to protect us.
Myths promoted by Media The “Good Life” consists of things which require a lot of money
Myths promoted by Media Happiness, Satisfaction, Sex Appeal are made available by products
Myths promoted by Media Your body is not good enough.
The Bible’s Guidelines for the Use and Enjoyment of Media Morally Upright  (Philippians 4:8) Inspiring (Colossians 3:1-3) Christ-Centered    (2 Corinthians 10:5) Evangelistic (Romans 10:17)

REFLECTION:Pair Work Discuss among yourselves a movie which addresses the bible’s guidelines in using and enjoying media.
Pair Work Answer the following on a size 4: (10 pts) Why do you consider this movie an example of good media? 2. Identify the most valuable lesson you learned from the film.
Materials: Oslo paper (to be provided) Coloring materials (to be provided- oil pastels only) Optional: Old magazines/newspapers

Project2:   Myth Busters Choose one from the 4 Myths Promoted by Media. Compose a statement which disproves the myth.  Create a poster using your composed statement as tagline/slogan.
