SENIOR TRAINING M ANAGER ~ TRAINING CONSULTANT (2000 – 2009)
Analyzed capability development needs and prepared, implemented ongoing organizational development strategies. Evaluated
programs for alignment with strategic goals and consulted globally on subjects related to training and development.
Achievements :
• Supervised a department consisting of five training staff.
• Managed organizational developments across four R&D locations: California, Illinois, Georgia, and Argentina.
• Authored the R&D technical and non-technical training strategies.
• Strategized a migration to e-learning for the international R&D w orkforce, which increased availability significantly and
reduced travel time and cost for remote employees.
• Managed project to launch the first enterprise-wide Learning Management System (LMS). This consolidated disparate
systems, cultures, and methodologies across 45 locations.

Achievements :
• Saved $500K in training costs during VPN ‘Around the World’ project by initiating the first-ever blended learning program.
- Employees took introductory training via computers – exceptional at the time – followed by instructor-led classes,
(deadline-driven). Savings resulted from using computer-based training, where training was reduced from one week to
2 days. Also replaced need for internal training teams to travel the country to deliver training by deadlines, and enabled
outsource training delivery to take place within closer vicinity .
- Ultimately eliminated travel expenses, and the multiple, independent locations allowed for trainings simultaneously .
- Earned performance award in recognition for accomplishment .
• Founded the Corporate Training Forum, a council of Clorox training leaders that coordinates strategy company-wide and
forges bonds of common practice be tween training departments.
- This group became the center of thought leadership for organizational development in the company, producing
enterprise-wide OD initiatives, such as a revitalized on-boarding program, that could not otherwise have been
coordinated as well
