Differences
Both were fuelled by the lack of food, broken promises and were anti-war
The government wasn’t doing a good job and Russia was in a bad state beforehand
The army was uprising in both revolutions
Firearms were used in both the revolutions
Those in power gave it up without a fight – the Tsar abdicated and the Provisional Gov. surrendered
Revolution was the obvious result in each case as the conditions were so bad – people were desperate in March and Lenin had already tried to cause a revolution in April
The November Rev. was less bloody and didn’t last as long as the March Rev.
The March Rev. wasn’t done by revolutionaries but the workers and soldiers unlike the November Rev.
The March Rev. ended autocracy whereas the November Rev. was the start of autocracy again in the form of communism
In the March Rev. the firearms used had ammunition whereas in the November Rev. had blanks
The March Rev. wasn’t planned or organized whereas the November Rev. was planned
There was absolutely no order in the March Rev. but the November Rev. was full of order and control over firearms, etc.
