4. Gas valve
Turn it off or to pilot

5. Valve controlling water from source.
Close this by turning clockwise until it
stops. Call an Artilleryman to make
sure it’s tight

6. Hot water out
to house
Disconnect
this second.
Cold water in from source
Disconnect this after closing
valve shown on previous slide.
Cold water in from

this last

7. Over temp/over
pressure device/valve

8. Disconnect this line from your old POS
water heater.

9. I cut mine with my hack saw but
need to reroute it as the new W.H.
has the fitting on the side not top.


10. DRAIN VALVE (FOR
GARDEN HOSE)

13. Main gas valve to the W.H. (Turn
clockwise until it doesn’t turn any
more. If you cannot turn it, call a friend
who is either active duty or Retired
ARTILLERY to turn it for you.

14. Remove this from the fitting, you may
have to disconnect the line further
down the chain before doing this.

15. 1. Pull that old piece of shit water heater (W.H.) out
now and throw it into the street like a punk biotch.
2. Place your new, sexy, water heater in place
3. 3. Hook up the water lines first and foremost
4. Hook up the gas line
5. Turn on the gas line
6. Light the pilot
7. Switch to “Hot” or whichever girly setting you like.
8. Netflix
9. Chill

16. Make SURE you put Teflon
thread tap on the damn
threads (unlike the “licensed

18. Hook up (First and foremost)

19. Reconnect this last, after water lines
are hooked up and pressurized.

20. Turn on - turn counterclockwise
