Take 10 photos showing different aspects of life as a student at North
• Different North Students, Different Activities
• Covers activities and lifestyles in and out of school that directly affect lives of students
• No Sports or Academics
• What do students’ lives revolve around?
Requirements:
• Photos need to be of different subjects and different locations
• Each photo MUST include people
• You need to take more than 10 photos to do well on this assignment
Remember:
• Have a written, caption for each photo
**You will have to collect information for these! (Ask questions, Get quotes)
• Upload your photos and save originals
• Edit photos as we discussed and save in edited folder
• Have photos correctly saved with your initials in the name
• Use the elements of composition to enhance your pictures
Do Not:
• Do not take pictures of people in this class or on student publications
• Do not take pictures in this classroom
• Do not pose pictures
• Do not take pictures of family or friends
What you’ll be graded on...
• Oral Presentation: Detailed explanation of each of your photos,
your overall vision, and professionalism during presentation
• Captions: Properly written captions as we discussed in class. All parts of the
caption are there and are correct.
• Visual: Photo composition and style, and how well your photos tell a story.
• Critique Presentation: You will receive 20 separate points for participating in
the critiques. You can lose a lot of points here so be sure to participate!
Timeline:
Thursday 3/4 – Planning Sheets & Work Tracker Due by end of the class.
Thursday 3/5 to 3/11 – Work In-Class, follow Work Tracker (Upload, Edit, Write Captions)
Due: Thursday, March 11
Photo Project 100 points
Separate Points for this project:
Planning Sheet – 10 points
Daily Work Trackers – 60 points (10 points/day)
Captions – 20 points (2 points/caption)
Critique Participation – 20 points
