Triptych

(Directions for project found at the
        end of Powerpoint)
• A triptych (pron.: /ˈtrɪptɪk/ TRIP-tik; (from
  the Greek adjective τρίπτυχοs ("three-fold"),
  from tri-= "three" + ptysso= "to fold")…

  is a work of art (usually a panel painting) that
  is divided into three sections, or
  three carved panels which are hinged together
  and can be folded shut or displayed open
PROJECT
• Decide Theme – Done! (Paschal Mystery)

• Make an Outline – use scratch paper.

• Create!

• Turn in by Friday, April 19th.
OUTLINE 1
• Decide on your Materials –

     Paint                    Crayons
     Pencils                  Watercolor
     Paper scraps             Computer
     Pictures (use wisely!)   ….

• DO NOT JUST PRINT 3-4 PICTURES AND POST
  THEM UP ON YOUR TRIPTYCH – BE CREATIVE!

• Decide Shape of 3 panels -

• Decide where/how you are going to place the
  elements of your theme:

     - What is the focus of your center piece?
     - What are your secondary focuses?
     -OR do you want to have an equal focus on
     each element of your theme?
CREATE!
1. You must cut 3 separate pieces. (Do not fold
   to create triptych!)
2. You can choose to hinge the pieces together
   using tape, extra cardboard pieces, etc.
3. OR you can choose to leave it unhinged.

   We will be hanging them on the walls.
Grades
• Assignment is worth 20 points: 10 points
  based on accuracy of theme (The Paschal
  Mystery) and 10 points based on creativity.
