Dear Judges:
My is Matthew Burkman I am a senior at Creekview High school. I did my
project on the air force. I taught a class on the Air Force to learn and inform other
students on this branch of military. Also to see how well I retained the information to be
able to teach others about my topic and see if I retained it well enough to present it so
they can learn.
My research project was about the Army Rangers because I didn’t know if I
wanted to become a Ranger or a mechanic in the Air Force. I learned a lot about both
branches through research and talking to my facilitator and my recruiter. This project was
helpful in actually figuring out what I wanted to do and what the best possible career
choice.
This project went a long with my career choice because I am joining a branch of
the military. Also I needed to figure out which branch suited me best. Also I had to figure
out which one had the best opportunities for me. I also needed to know what job I wanted
to do in the military.
The senior project has helped me figure out I wanted to do but I think it should be
more of a research project then having a final product and it should be something where
you retain material and you show what you learned. Thank you for your time it is much
