If you love to write, then you should look for a content writing job so you can make money doing
what you love. Finding a content writing job can be a difficult process, though, as many writers like
yourself are looking for ways to make money writing online. But by looking for jobs in the right
places, you have an edge on the competition because you're not wasting time looking for jobs
where they don't exist. I'll show you five places you can find a great writing position that will earn
you supplemental, part-time or full-time income.
1. oDesk.com
Odesk caters to freelance writers all over the world who want to make money writing online. It
doesn't matter whether you're from the United States, the UK, India, Pakistan or Ethiopia. As long
as you can write fluently in English, Spanish, French or other popular languages and can pass a
simple preparatory test, you can become an online content provider - for free.
To get a job on oDesk, all you have to do is bid on job offers. Of course, there is quite a bit of
competition, but as long as you're willing to take the lower-paying jobs as a newbie, you can work
your way up to higher offers in the future.
2. Elance.com
Similar to oDesk, eLance.com also allows writers worldwide. And like oDesk, eLance is also a
jobs-bidding website. After passing a few preliminary tests (which are a breeze, by the way) you
can bid on content writing jobs that look appealing to you. In some cases, you can upload samples
of your work for potential clients to see. Make sure you fill out your work experience as much as
possible. This way, in case you don't have any work experience on eLance, clients won't pass you
up for someone with a five star rating.
3. Craigslist.com
You might not think Craigslist would be the first to offer you a content writing job. But as it turns
out, I've found some great writing jobs here. I found one client who pays 10 cents per word (or $50
to $100 per article) and another one who gave me $3000 worth of work in less than one month.
And since you can complete a writing job virtually anywhere in the world, your opportunities here
are almost limitless!
4. Freelancer.com
Freelancer is another job bidding website that provides thousands of content writing jobs each
month. So even if you have a lot of competition, you have enough writing jobs to go around, so the
