  • 1. TARGET SEARCH VON JANNEKE MES & LUKAS FRIEDEHEIM MAASTRICHT UNIVERSITY – MAASTRICHT SCIENCE PROGRAMME
  • 2. INTRODUCTION • Main question: What are the interactions of two substances affecting the same target? • Same targets of two different substances? • Targets (only single protein) of one given substance?
  • 3. METHOD: LIBRARIES & SOURCE FILES • • lib/jquery-1.9.1.min.js • • • • src/OPS.js lib/purl.js src/ConceptWikiSearch.js src/CompoundSearch.js http://d3js.org/d3.v3.min.js
  • 4. METHOD: FUNCTIONS • ConceptWikiSearch: • gives URI for the desired compound • CompoundSearch (compoundPharmacology): • give target interactions of desired compound
  • 5. METHOD: DATA • JSON output from conceptWikiSearch to get URI • JSON output from compoundPharmacology to get target singleProteins of compound
  • 6. D3 VISUALISATION • Cluster dendogram
  • 7. RESULTS Shows single proteins affected by given substance in an awesome looking cluster dendogram
  • 8. SUMMARY • Input search  Get compound URI from conceptWiki • Click on desired compound  get target interactions from compoundPharmacology • D3 visualisation appears only showing single protein targets
  • 9. EVALUATION • Comparing search for two substances at the same time not possible so far • Direct compound  target search possible but mapping does not support required URI format
