4. The gym of our high school
The gym of Saavedra Fajardo school is ¡huge! In
this place we can find a lot of objets to do
gimnastics. Students do gymnastics there, but
students also learn about different types of
sports and practise them.

5. Thanks to our teachers, we practise a lot of
sports, for example, hand-ball or basketball. The
facilities at our high school allow us to practise
them.
The gym has got “mats” to avoid injuries and
other problems.

6. The gym is also very light and has a very huge
equipment to do sport for example:
- Baskets to play basketball
- Snowshoes and balls to play tennis
- Mats, banks and elastics to do ability
exercises.

8. The science lab
The lab is one of the places in which you can
learn the subject of science because this place
has got a lot of “utensils” to do mixtures or
analyse substances with the microscopes you
can find there. When my class goes there we can
practise mixtures combining different
substances.

and use the microscope to see them

12. ASSEMBLY HALL
In this room the teachers, the director and more people at the
school talk about important topics. In this room there are many
chairs and a very big stage where the director talks.
It has also got a big projector where projects are presented, for
example, the Aula XXI project.

13. ASSEMBLY HALL II
It ´s a very big room with some windows and a red door. The
assembly hall is a very important room for our high school.
The first time that this room was used in this year was when the
director told us about the Aula XXI project.

14. PLAYGROUND
We normally use this place when we finish the third hour of class and
we need to rest, then we go to the playground. Our playground is very
big. It has got two fields and four goals; it has also got eight baskets to
play basketball. Next to the third hour the break is full because
everybody leave their classrooms and they start to play games.
Another thing we also do are football tournaments among different
classes ; this tournament is funny although sometimes students get
nervous.

15. PLAYGROUND II
If you forget your food, you don’t have to be worried. We have the
canteen, where you can eat many different types of food, for example,
Pan-Pizza or Napolitanas.
We also use the playground when we do P.E ; we do many sports like
hockey, football, basketball…
The playground is an enjoyable place where you can talk with your
friends and you can also play many sports.

19. In this department the language teachers,
prepair exams, works and books to read.
There is a big bookcase with many books, some
encyclopedias and dictionaries.

23. In this department , the teachers of social
sciences choose the maps, exams and projects
that pupils must do.
There are some photos of the Kings and Queens
of Spain and a lot of maps.

25. COMPUTER CLASSROOM

26. In the computer classroom you can work on the
computer. There are many computers.
You can learn all about computers.
It is very interesting to learn about computer
science.
There is a digital whiteboard, but the computers
are very old.

28. In the art classroom there are many drawings on
the wall.
In the class you must draw.
Drawing is great fun.
There are special tables, a projector and a large
blackboard.

30. The Canteen

31. In the canteen you can buy pizzas, sweets,
crisps, drinks, etc. In the break you can go and
sit to eat and talk with your friends.
There are two places in the canteen, one for the
teachers and another for the studens.
The canteen is open at all hours.
You can order your breakfast because there are
many people and food is sold very fast.

33. In the gym we do sport like basketball, football
...
It is a big place with a lot of room to do sports.
Students love to do gymnastics at the gym
because they can perform the activities with
their classmates and have a good time.

Students, with the help of the Art teachers,
learn to colour, draw…
There are tables and chairs, two blackboards
and a projector.
During the lessons, we let our imagination run
wild when we do some activities.
The art lessons are fun and we like them very
much.

Teachers gather in the teacher’s lounge. There,
teachers spend their free time.
Also, they gather for assessment meetings.
It is a very nice place and a very big room.
There is a table for meetings and a beautiful
picture on the wall.

45. Head of Studies Office
In this room, the problems of high school are solved and
major decisions for the common good are taken. At our
school they are three teachers in charge of this office.

46. Music Room
In this class we learn about music and we play
instruments. At the break we sing in the choir. The
room is very big and bright.
