2. What You’ll Need To Know
In this Unit your child will be learning about
states of matter. They will learn why matter is
important, how it affects our environment, and
the different types of matter. This unit will last
one week.
3. Objectives
By the end of the unit, your child will be able to
identify liquids, solids, and gases. They will
know why the three types of matter are
important to our world and how it affects us and
our surroundings.
4. What Your Child Will Be Doing.
In this unit our class will be studying how liquid effects its
surroundings. Students will be given two different forms of
solids and they will place liquids on them. Each day the
student will make observations of how the solid and liquid
reacts and will record them on the computer. By the end of
the week, students will have a graph of the effects they
have observed.

sure you check back at the end of the week
and see your child in action!
