2. 2. What Advertising is
An advert is when a company shows a product they are selling they show adverts to make people want to buy these products you can get adverts on TV, Radio, Newspaper, Magazines, Internet
3. 3. Chosen advert : AIDA principle
It gets your attention by showing the women posing in a manly way
It gets you interested because you read this and wonder what you can do
It gets your desire by telling women “we” can do it this so it’s telling you women they are equal
The action is that women will read this and decide they want to help
4. 4. Mise-en scene
They use two colors blue and yellow this is to keep the image simple, it makes the slogan and image stand out and conveys the message
The logo is short so you can understand easily, it is in a large font to get your attention
She is wearing clothes that she can do hard work in, this is because the advert is aimed at women to go out and work
Her posture shows her as a strong independent women at the time this would have been uncommon
5. 5. Techniques
The techniques in the advert are emotive they show how women are empowered and equal to men. They use the term “We can do it” to show unity and courage to support the cause
6. 6. Mise-en scene
Costume- This is what the actor wears in the advert this is important as it can tell you anything about the advert for example if a man is wearing a suit it could show he’s professional
Lighting- This can do a lot for the advert if you show the light to be very bright it gives the advert a pure angelic feel and if it’s dark it can give it a evil fell
Actors- If the actor in the advert is beautiful it makes people want to buy the product thinking it will make them beautiful
Make up- Make up is important as it cans show the actor to be beautiful or ugly
Props-the props in the advert show what the product is for example for a coke advert it will show you a bottle of coke somewhere in the advert
Setting- This shows where the advert is set for example if it’s on a sunny beach it will make you want to go there for a holiday
7. 7. AIDA
Attention- It needs to get you to look at the advert it can do this with bright colors and big font
Interest- it needs you to keep reading it can do this by asking the reader questions
Desire- it makes you want the product they do this by showing you the product with a model usually
Action-Shows you a photo of a product and tells you where to buy it from such as a website or phone number
