Monitoring and Evaluation  Project monitoring will be based upon a results- based logical framework  Progress reports will be prepared for each of the semi-annual meetings  Regular consultations will take place with the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) to solicit suggestions and advice in the course of implementation
  • 6. Next Steps: Monitoring and Evaluation 1. Specific outcomes and measurable indicators will be established from the updated log framework The current logical framework will updated after:  Activity 1. Planning Workshop, IFPRI and IFAD to select focus countries;  Activity 2. Selection and engagement of existing IFAD funded projects and potential new projects
  • 7. Next Steps: Monitoring and Evaluation 2. A benchmarking exercise will be undertaken in relation to the three research themes for those indicators 3. A joint mid-term review of the progress of activities and progress relative to targets (outcomes) will be conducted at the end of the second year by measuring the pre-establish indicators
  • 8. Next Steps: Monitoring and Evaluation 4. Detail feed back will be given on: • How the partnership is being implemented • How the partnership is operating in the field • How the partnership is progressing relative to targets • What are the needed corrective actions • What are lessons learned (positive and negative) • What are the major results that should be mainstream through IFAD
