Hydropower’s role in climate change mitigation: increasing hydro production could benefit climate change impact by fossil fuel emission reduction. Hydropower’s vulnerability to climate change and role in climate change adaptation: water regulation is the way to store large amount of energy. Volume regulation is key for reduction of vulnerability to climate change. The conflict would be with local environment. There is a trade-off among environment, energy and climate change.
