To Whom It May Concern:
As the Principal of King David High School (KDHS), I worked with Steve Gill during the
2005/2006 school year when Mr. Gill taught Business Education, Information Technology, and
Planning 10.
In addition to classroom duties, Mr. Gill distinguished himself by the extra time he gave to
the students and the school, including supervision of the KDHS Summer Camp on the Sunshine
Coast, sponsorship of the Junior Boys’ Basketball Team, designing the playbill for two school plays,
laying the foundations for a new KDHS school store, designing a new school website, providing
technical support to teachers and staff, and running an Information Technology workshop for
teachers.
Mr. Gill has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages which has been of great advantage in
building positive connections with students, staff and parents. Mr. Gill has excellent written and
verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, reliable and very computer literate. He can
work independently and is able to follow through to ensure that the job gets done. He
accomplishes these tasks with great initiative and with a very positive attitude.
I am pleased to recommend Mr. Gill. If you have any further questions with regard to his
background or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,

Re: Mr. Steven Gill
To whom it may concern:
I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Steven Gill at Prince Rupert Secondary School where I was the
vice-principal. Mr. Gill taught Information Technology and Math 8 and was responsible for maintaining
the school computer network and for basic computer maintenance within the building.
Mr. Gill was pleasant, competent, and very professional. He was always cordial and helpful with staff
and students and willing to volunteer his time to help out with different events in and out of the building.
He supervised a volleyball team, helped at evening parent showcase nights, and at school dances. Mr.
Gill also showed extra initiative in creating and organizing technology safeguards within the building,
making sure that both general and site-specific solutions were available and on file for future use. As
well, he was a strong advocate for upgrades to school systems that were not meeting our educational
needs, and he was very helpful in regard to researching the pros and cons of different options. Mr. Gill
has a wide variety of interests, especially in the areas of technology and business, and was able to
comfortably integrate these interests into his teaching practice.
Steven Gill has a very positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and he shows initiative in his
work. I would be happy to recommend him to your organization. If you have any further questions about
Mr. Gill, do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Peter Jory
