Mobile Moodle at the Open University has seen adoption by several thousand iPhone users and other mobile device users, driving two initiatives to improve the Moodle interface and experience for mobile. An Android and iPhone mobile application called Mobile Application provides access to content packages from Moodle and can be used both online and offline. DataPlus allows for collaborative creation and contribution to non-relational databases based on SQLite3, but faces issues with performance on large datasets, search functionality, export options, and a lack of support for relational databases.
