Interview About Food Allergies<br />Questions:<br />So what exactly are food allergies?<br />What is the most recent food that you got allergic to?<br />What are some symptoms of food allergy?<br />How have you suffered from food allergies? <br />What are some disadvantages of having food allergies? <br />Are there any ways to cure food allergies? <br />Interview:<br />Question: So what exactly are food allergies?<br />Answer: I would classify food allergies under reactions that your body has. Reactions your body has against certain types of food. <br />Question: What kinds of foods are you allergic too?<br />Answer: I personally am allergic to dairy products, alcohol, tomatoes, and yeast. <br />Question: What is the most recent food that you got allergic to?<br />Answer: On my birthday, we were celebrating and I was pouring some wine and I licked the drop that was on my finger, and then… let’s just say, I couldn’t go to school. My face turned red and I had stomachaches because of one drop. <br />Question: How did you get allergic to alcohol?<br />Answer: As a doctor explains to me, if you swallow without chewing a lot, the food doesn’t get 100% digested in the stomach so when it goes past the stomach, your body has a reaction against the particle that didn’t divide totally because it doesn’t recognizes and it tries to fight it like it does with a foreign bacteria.<br />Question: What are some symptoms of food allergies?<br />Answer: For me, I get headaches and severe stomachaches.<br />Question: How have you suffered from food allergies?<br />Answer: It gives me a limitation of food that I can eat. For example, I can’t eat bread unless they take the yeast out, but it doesn’t taste as good. In America, there are a lot of stuff that you can buy that will replace the things you are allergic to. For example, if you’re allergic to dairy products, you can drink soymilk. There are a lot of ways to get around allergies. But I always need to be on a watch-out, which can get annoying.<br />Question: What are some disadvantages of having food allergies?<br />Answer: As I said before, you have to be on a look-out. I don’t have any severe allergies, but still I need to watch out because I can get sick. I have a friend who if he eats peanuts, he can die. He is that allergic. Some food allergies you may not even know that it’s there. There are a lot of small ones that may slightly affect your body.<br />Question: Are there any ways to cure food allergies?<br />Answer: If you stay away from food allergies for long enough, your body, I guess, starts to gradually forget it because it’s not exposed to it. My doctor advises me not to take it for a 6 month period and then to take it once a month and then twice a month. My doctor tells me not to take anything in excess because then my body will grow antibodies for it.<br />Question: Are there any other ways?<br />Answer: Well for a headache, I can take some aspirin. But mainly after like a day or two away from school, it all gets better. <br />
