Using QR Codes
The best way of obtaining new reviews is to have your existing satisfied
customers or your client leave honest and positive reviews on your GMB
(Google My Business) and recommendations on your Facebook Pages.
We cannot force people to leave reviews, but we can ask for
them.
I often do this either by sending a post card to the customers base
when I return to the office or having a postcard available at the point
of sale.
Most businesses will have some form of paperwork in the way of letter
headings, invoices, receipts, leaflets, or business cards. If you do not, then
you really are missing out on a massive opportunity to promote your
business.

From my experience this is not present on the vast majority of paperwork I
have received, nor have I ever been asked to leave a review by ANY
Automated method.

The most effective way to get reviews is to have a business card created
which also included your QR Code ! Yes, a QR Code !.

generate the design and pay for the printing of the cards.

QR Codes for Reviews
You can have a QR Code added to your Business card or to your
website which points directly to you “Leave a Review” page on your
Google My Business account.
This is quite easy to do and will be one of the easiest ways to get
reviews you have ever seen. With that in mind we have created our own

Steps To generate a QR Code for your GMB
1. Go to your Google My Business Account and log in.
2. On your GMB Dashboard look for a box or link which says “Get
more reviews “Share your Business Profile and get new reviews
from customers. Share review Form” and click the link which is
revealed.
3. This will open a link which will directly link to your review page on
Google My Business Account. Copy this link (left click, copy)
4. Now go back to the QR Code generator page and
A. paste the link in to the “URL” box on the QR generator.
B. Select the Quality of QR Code want from the “ECC” drop-down,
C. Choose a “Size” from the Drop-down Sizer.
5. This will automatically Change the default dummy Code and
Generate a new Unique QR code for your GMB Reviews page.
6. Right Click on the new QR Code that has been generated and

then copy the QR Code image to your computer.
7. Rename the download link to GMBreviews.png or something
similar to suit your needs. (it must be saved as a PNG format
image)
8. You can now use this QR by adding it to your business cards and
letter headings or invoice/receipts etc.
Now, every time you visit a client and complete a
job you simply ask them to scan your card to their
Smartphone QR Code reader (Most smart phones
have this active by default) and your review page
will open for them to leave a review.
Simple and effective, how can they refuse when
you have done a good job for them.
As an example, here is one I created for you to test the theory.
Create a Facebook Recommendations QR Code
To create a QR Code for FaceBook Recommendations you will need to
initially create a link manually which points to your Facebook Page
Recommendations submission link.
To do that you will need to be logged in to your Facebook Page
1. Open a notepad and copy/paste this code
https://www.facebook.com/pg/yourfacebookpage/reviews
2. Go to your FaceBook Page and find your page “Name” and copy
the name only and replace the “yourfacebookpage” in the notepad
with you own FaceBook page Name.
3. Test the link by copy/pasting the resulting URL into your Browser
to make sure that it goes to your page’s recommendations tab and
that the pop-up window to add a recommendation appears.

4. If everything works, great.
5. Now refer to steps 4 to 8 in the previous instructions for creating a
QR Code

really make a difference.

Want to go totally Pro?
