the process 6 simple steps to website nirvana
1 Proposal & planning
be good as your content, visual and otherwise. This is the part we’ll need you to take care of – the part that makes your
site uniquely “you.” The more prepared you are during this pre-production phase of your website, the better your site
will be, so get a pencil and a piece of paper and go! You contact us. You fill out our questionnaire so we know what you’re all about. We talk. You like us
because we’re friendly and different. We send you a proposal which outlines everything we plan to do
say what you need to say for you and how and when we plan to do it.
2 Agreement & deposit
We recommend you start writing your copy now. Like, right now. Before you do anything else. Seriously. Without
knowing what you have to say, it’s very difficult to organize your site, and one of the most important aspects of the
building process is organization. Stay “on point” as much as possible. Don’t ramble. People have short attention spans, We like each other, and we’re ready for the next steps. By now we understand your tastes, your

Your website is beautiful. You love it. Your friends love it. Your mother loves it.
But naturally, 6 months later, you’ve got content to add, or delete, or change. Here are your options...
We do it
We’d be more than happy to make your updates for you. We charge by our hourly rate for this and there’s a
one-hour minimum for updates and revisions. It’s for this reason that we recommend that you consolidate your
revision work and send it over all at the same time, so that you can get the most for your money!
Remember, always give us a couple of weeks lead time when booking a round of changes.
Flash clients will most likely need this option, as Flash is a little complicated, and a lot of Action Script has to be
written by hand to make it go.
You do it
If we have built a Content Management System into your website, you will be able to update pre-defined
portions of your site yourself. We need to know ahead of time if we’ll be doing this. Ask us about this option
and we’ll explain it to you!
i just googled you!
We are not search engine optimizers, but we can certainly instruct you on how to help increase your results all
by yourself. We’ll load your pages with all the appropriate stuff to expedite this process. If you think you need a
professional, we’d be more than happy to recommend a specialist to you.

website | www.bergenstreetstrategy.com | design
The client wanted a simple, horizontally-scrolling website for her Brooklyn-based marketing firm. I worked with
Eric Palmerlee to design this website, most notably designing the center word-graphic framed by the exclamation
point, the company’s logo.

6. Just Sauce
branding concept | logo and bottle design, copywriting
The client wanted a design and branding concept for a new brand of tomato sauce to market in Brooklyn, NY.
Using the color of the sauce as a backdrop, I designed a label that emphasized the sauce’s dietary virtues while
showing that it was delicious because it hadn’t been designed with restrictions in mind. I designed a flexible “Just
Sauce” company logo that could be easily modified to label each sauce by changing the circle into a tomato for
“Just Marinara” or a basil leaf for a future “Just Pesto” launch.
