Curriculum and Teaching Online Information Meeting Welcome to the online information meeting for the Curriculum and Teaching program, this presentation will only take 20 minutes of your time and will prepare you to better understand what a Masters of Arts Education Curriculum and Teaching emphasis from Fresno Pacific University can do for you.
  • 2. About FPU
    • Program Description
    • This is an accelerated program with a focus on leadership and is designed for those who are at a distance and/or enjoy interactive online learning. Students are given a strong foundation in curriculum through engaging and challenging content in a cohort model approach. A cohort is a group of students that starts and finishes the program at the same time. The students work together in each course and become a support group for each other.

          • For candidates living outside of California
          • 36 units (4 units may be transferred in)
          • Online program with a one-week on-campus summer residency
          • Each cohort is designed for a maximum of 15 to 20 students
          • Coursework is completed in three semesters with a project/thesis and support course remaining

    • *Graduate Courses (700 level) $445 per unit
    • *Teacher education course (600 level) $485 per unit

    • Financial Aid
        • Fresno Pacific's Graduate School offers two basic types of financial aid: Scholarships and grants, which do not have to be repaid, and loans. Most loans and grants are awarded on the basis of a combination of scholastic or other achievement and demonstrated financial need.
        • The FPU Church Match Scholarship offers students' churches the chance to get involved in their education. FPU will match 2:1 the amount provided by your church up to $500/semester for churches belonging to the Pacific District of Mennonite Brethren Churches. FPU will match 1:1 up to $250/semester for churches not belonging to the Pacific District.

    • If seeking financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or contact the student financial services office.
    • Once your application and requirements are complete your graduate file will go to the program director for admission review.
    • Each applicant will receive a decision letter within 2 - 4 weeks of completing the application.

    • Transcripts submitted for admission or transfer credit become the property of Fresno Pacific University and cannot be returned to the applicant or forwarded to other institutions. This includes making copies of transfer records.

    • Application Fees
    • The application fee is *$90. If you submit your application by the early enrollment dates listed below, the fee is only $60. We accept applications at anytime and will continue to accept individuals until capacity is reached.
    • *Upon completion of this information meeting you will receive a verification code to reduce the application fee to $45
