Terms & Conditions
(1) The objective of the Small Project Funding (SPF) is to enable students/fresh graduates to develop projects of
innovation and/or differentiated nature, including major projects and final year projects, into prototypes and
eventually into actual businesses.
(2) Students and fresh graduates from TP full-time courses are eligible. Graduates must be within 2 years from date
of graduation.
(3) The grant should be used solely for developmental activities and items critical to the project, which may include
R&D, professional services, product development, software, web services, online marketing etc.
(4) The grant cannot be used for salaries for the team, purchase of assets such as furniture, computing hardware
and machinery, purchase of goods for pure buy/sell activities (eg blogshops, café, push carts etc), purchase of
merchandise for marketing activities, and administrative costs such as incubation fees, corporate secretarial fees
and incorporation of the business.
(5) Funding quantum ranges from $1000 to $3000. Each student is eligible for only one funding per year.
Application for funding in subsequent year must be for a new project.
(6) Applicant, if shortlisted, will have to present/pitch to an evaluation panel. Approval for funding is subject to the
final decision by the panel.
(7) To maintain records for the usage of the grant and to keep all original receipts to support all purchases.
(8) Temasek Polytechnic reserves the right to recover the SPF if the terms and conditions are not adhered to.
