UX Design for Startup

Through this Case Study, we will walk you through our UX Design Process
for Startups.

Q-it Videos is a product of a Q-it LLC Tech. - a startup based out of
Chicago USA.
Q-it helps parents turn their child's video viewing time into an educational
experience. There are countless hours of ‘educational’ programming
available online, delivered into our homes via connected TVs, mobile
devices, streaming players...& this list is growing every day.
About

Problem Definition
 The design had to be synonymous with a great user
experience and ease of use.
 We worked extensively with the Q-it team to identify which
features were absolutely critical to the product’s DNA.
 For a product like Q-it, targeting a consumer segment
(parents) that is highly marketed to, the visual first
impression was critical.

Design Process
 Designing Q-it was actually quite complex. We prioritized
'Usability” throughout the product.
 A product is “Easy to use” if it is “Easy to Understand”.
 Our Design Process kicked off with marathon discussions with
the founding team and all the stakeholders to understand their
vision.
 The goal was for everyone to be crystal clear on understanding
who we were designing the product for.

Design Process
 We started with brainstorming on all possible aspects of the
products to come up with an elaborate feature list.
 The feature list was then cut down to come up with the scope
for MVP
 We then started sketching some low-fidelity wireframes
 Withs one early rejection and feedback we quickly moved on to
high fidelity wireframes and detailed workflows
 This was then followed by UI Design and HTML development

The final result is an aesthetically pleasing application
