This document provides an introduction to the spiritual notions of sound and silence according to the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi order. It discusses how the four lower stations of the heart relate to different levels of sound during the spiritual journey, while the highest station relates to silence. The stations are mapped to the five senses and five fingers. Reaching the highest station of union with the light of the Prophet Muhammad involves progressing through hearing, seeing, touching, and smelling as the seeker draws closer to the divine presence.
