5. It is open .

6. It is software for everyone .

7. Why?

8. Because people cooperate .

9. Because people collaborate .

10. Because people communicate .

11. And because…

12. People share what they know.

14. The idea of giving free software

16. may seem ridiculous

17. stupid

18. crazy .

19. But here are

20. 10 things about open source

21. that are worth remembering .

23. 1.) Software from open source

24. may be sold or free ly given away

25. especially that co-developers

26. who are the users

27. 2.) Can have access to

28. the source codes of the software

29. 3.) Where revision of the codes

30. is permissible

31. 4.) As long as the modified version

32. is indicated to be modified

33. by another user.

34. 5.) No one is excluded from

35. the open source resources

36. 6.) Even if a little money is involved

37. to keep a “company” alive

38. 7.) As long as the rights apply to

39. everyone who uses the program(s).

40. 8.) Open source should not

41. be licensed to bigger software

42. 9.) Nor should it limit you from

43. solely using open source with it.

44. 10.) Keep it free and clean

45. without finding a loophole or

46. forcing other users

47. to agree with you.

49. With open source, you are

50. not afraid of bringing it around

51. not afraid of using it

52. not afraid of empowering it

53. because YOU can bring it

54. because YOU can use it

55. because YOU can empower it.

61. no Linux. An operating system that, today, comes with many different flavours because of user support.
