3. Why pursue the RN-BSN
Professional development, academic gratification, marketable and greater networking, job
security, more money, just to name a few.
A bachelor’s degree in General nursing has been and is a part of my career plan. As of
2012 the basic level of Nursing is a Bachelor of Science Nursing. In addition, the pursuit of a
degree put me on the educational track which can lead to a better job and a higher salary. By
earning a bachelor degree in General nursing is also the first step to earn an MBA or another
advanced degree; just keeping my options opened.
A bachelor degree is required for most jobs in most nursing field; earning a bachelor’s
degree is going to getting me one step closer to my career goal; becoming a Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner, a stepping stone. I enjoy classes, though stressful, engaging with professors,
learning new material, and the day-to-day responsibilities of being enrolled in a bachelor’s
degree program. Earning more money is great. Earning a bachelor’s degree can help me earn
more money and prepare for a better future which is reason enough for most people to consider
enrolling in a bachelor’s degree program.
