2. REQUIREMENT OF INTEL,INDIA :
[1] Basic concepts of c Language, Linux, BIOS, Database, HTML5, Web-Development,
Data-Mining, Graphics, Android, Java,
Data structure [linked list, stack, ...]
Many different groups for interview from Intel Inside. Every year different groups comes
according to their requirements.
example : if you are interested in Graphics then go for Graphics group in
interview, if you are interested in Graphics, and you go to BIOS group then your
selection % is 10% only.
prepare your resume according to your interest, do not write all things those you don't
know.
Contact " Prof Priyanka Sharma, Dr S Pradhan, Prof Gaurang Raval, Prof Sharada
Valiveti, Prof Swati Jain " for best resume and interview preparation.
[2] You approach of solving given problems in interview [ 20 minutes ]
[3] Explain about your projects in M.Tech.
[4]Your last week preparation is useless here to selection process of INTEL.
Enjoy Sea of knowledge inside Institute Of Technology, Nirma University.
continuous 8 hour work everyday required for 2 years of m.tech.
3. DEPARTMENTS INSIDE INTEL (MAY POSSIBLE)
TO COME IN NIRMA
BIOS (C,C++ programming for BIOS)
Graphic Architecture + Web Mining ( Web Design + Data
Mining + [10GB to 250GB data processing] )
Server configuration & validation (Client Server
Communication Programming, C, C++, DOT.NET, JAVA
any)
BIOS (Automation in Intel Specific languages, C, C++)
Mobile Communication Group (MCG)
(Android, Power & Performance System Level
Analysis & programming & Intel Atom Processor
Architecture Design )
Database management system (Query optimization on
large amount of data - [>2GB] ) (to develop self intelligent
query with nice indexing algorithms)
4. AREA OF INTEREST
MCG (Mobile and Communications Group)
Focus on : phones, tablets & other mobile devices.
“ This is a strategic move designed to
provide clear differentiation for Intel-based
mobile devices and to speed and improve
development of mobile devices and
components “
~ Intel spokesman Robert Manetta
5. COMBINING FOUR EXISTING INTEL GROUPS
Areas : baseband communications, WLAN
components , netbooks, tablets, and phones.
Groups Folded :
Intel Mobile Communications,
Mobile Wireless Group,
Netbook and Tablet Group,
Ultra Mobility Group.
6. HOW THE MOVE COMES…
The move comes as the company faces
stiff competition in the mobile devices
market. Although a dominant player in PCs,
it is struggling in the mobile devices market
where chips based on designs from ARM
dominate.
7. Hermann Eul & Mike Bell, will run the new group.
Bell was appointed to co-manage
the Ultra Mobility Group after
Chandrasekher's exit.
Eul heads Intel Mobile
Communications, and came to
Intel after its acquisition of
Infineon Technologies' wireless
division

Introduction - the compile-link process
The gcc compiler/linker
The make project utility 5
Exercises for UNIX programming/experience:
Write an application, which starts two threads where each
thread increases the value of a common variable and prints
the value of that variable at the same time. The only rule is:
The even numbered thread cannot change the value of a
variable if the value of the variable is even.
HINT: Use Semaphore
14. Write a producer and consumer application using
multiple threads where one thread becomes the
producer and the other thread becomes the consumer.
The consumer should be fork()'ed by the producer.
- Version1: Use Pipes and Message Queues as
synchronization mechanism.
- Version2: Use Shared memory as an IPC mechanism
Write a TCP/IP client server application on Linux using
sockets(). The client must request a 5KB of data from
the server every 5 minutes and check for a
"DEADBEEF" pattern in the data. If it finds the pattern, it
should stop pinging the server. The data pattern must be
fed using a binary file from a command line argument to
the server.
