Students will be split into groups and assigned jobs from Ancient Egypt such as farmers, priests, and soldiers. Each group will research their job using websites and create a PowerPoint presentation to teach the class. Students will also write an individual story about a character who had their group's job, describing typical daily duties. The lesson will conclude with a WebQuest activity and evaluations will occur during presentations and through a written reflection.

S- Students will discuss different jobs/professions using Smart Board and websites
provided.
Students will be separated into groups and assigned a job that people had in Ancient
Egypt (farmers, priest, soldiers, scribes, etc.)
Students will research their group's job. Students will present to the class about that
job. Students will create a PowerPoint to present to class.
Students will individually create a story about a character who had that job in Ancient
Egypt. Students will describe day to day duties. Students will explain what the
character does every day.
Students will complete WebQuest provided.
Students will accomplish these tasks by the end of the day with 100% accuracy.

U- Students will research their job using the websites provided. Students will have two
writing assignments. Students will use Power Point to present their job.
R- Students will be required to participate in the group activity as well as the individual
writing assignments.
E- Evaluation will occur during class time and also the second writing activity when students
are to write In detail what they learned, what they liked, and what they would change.
