3. Introduction
Dear applicants,
Congratulations for your choice of applying in the national team of AIESEC in Romania for the term 2014-2015.
On behalf of MC Move, we are excited about the dedication and the efforts that you will put in filling this application and we
want to wish you best of luck with the entire process.
This year was about creating a movement fueled by a small group of change agents that are leading based on strong
values and principles. This road that we are walking right now can only be continued by value based leaders with the
desire to create that critical mass of people just like them. Here is where your part comes along. We invite you to start
a journey of self reflection and complete vulnerability, and to place your thinking process and your conclusions in this
application form. We want you to demonstrate, not only the ability to create beautiful strategies, but your leadership
skills, your life values and all the things that you dream of and strongly believe in, so that all this things can shape,
in the most authentic way, the future of AIESEC in Romania.
It is a scary moment for all of us, but we believe in the power of those who can confront their fears, moving beyond them,
being guided by that strong and practical set of values, towards the North that AIESEC in Romania deserves, that point
of excellence delivered by agents of positive change. So move beyond fear, own your passions, take a deep breath and
open yourself up, for the most intense and vulnerable experience of your lifetime.
Good luck!
On behalf of MC Move!
Edu

7. The right ATTITUDE
Being open minded, flexible to working with new ideas & styles and finally respecting the values & integrity of what AIESEC
stands for. Along with that, the right attitude will sail you through the experiences.
Passion for the role & love for AIESEC!
There is no truer example of 100% self-driven learning than when speaking about the Romanian MC experience.
You will be in a team of extremely competent people, constant traveling and extended moments of disconnectedness from
the rest of the association. What drives you, as a person has to be aligned to your role, team and love for AIESEC!
Intellectual and psychological
Several aspects of one’s personality are important and arguably essential to be a successful management team.
Some of them are obvious: constant learning, systematic thinking and creativity, adaptability to change, sense of responsibility,
capacity of analysis, patience, listening and supportiveness.
Society knowledge
A broad knowledge of global and national systems, current trends and issues facing society and cultural issues is required to
ensure that the Member Committee can be a proactive facilitator of direction - one of it's primary roles - and also maintain
relevance of AIESEC's activities at all times.
AIESEC understanding
An understanding of our vision, values, AIESEC way, the refreshed AIESEC XP, AIESEC 2015 & the new programmes and
understanding of local realities is certainly something we will look for in all candidates.
Others
Overall, there is no perfect candidate profile; however, good candidates will possess strong competencies in the areas of
social behaviour, motivation, task orientation and people management skills. The key component is balance - within the
individuals and within the team of individuals! Candidates with interests and expertise in other areas outside AIESEC
would be of immense value to the other members of the team and this is an important criterion for selection of the perfect and
compatible team to maximize scope for learning from each other.
8. Selection Process
Nomination Procedure
Each candidate must present their application, answering ALL questions applicable to the position you are applying for.
The application questions consist of General Questions (maximum 6 pages; font size minimum 10; font type Arial) and Specific Questions (maximum 5 pages; font size minimum 10; font type Arial).
You must submit the relevant endorsements with your application. Every endorsement should be a PDF file that
should be signed by the person endorsing your application. Please make sure that you ask for endorsements well within time
since endorsements without signatures will not be accepted.
For the Member Committee Vice President External Relations and for the BD Managers, candidates also need to
submit 2 endorsements from external organizations, recommending them for the position.
The deadline for submitting your application and all the needed material is 17:00 GMT+2, 4th January, 2014 (late
applications – even by a few minutes – WILL NOT be accepted and no exceptions will be given, including in the
cases of email/computer disfunction. Extensions will not be given. As such, we strongly recommend you do not wait
until the last minute to submit your application, as you will be risking it not being accepted should unforeseen events occur).
You can send your application and other material via email attachment to: Daniel Plesa (MCVP TD) at plesa.dani@gmail.com and Eduard Till (MCP) at till.eduard@gmail.com
The application package should be uploaded on the system (myaiesec.net) and should be sent as an attachment via email (as a zip file) in the following format: Full Name_Position_Application_AIESEC Romania MC 14-15
You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application as soon as it has been received (only if reception of the
application happens during AIESEC Romania working hours. If reception of application occurs out of working hours you will
be notified of reception within a maximum of 24 hours).
Any questions on the selection process can be directed to Daniel Plesa at plesa.dani@gmail.com. You may
have to complete an assessment test prior to your interview (depends on the MCP elect).
9. Special Notes
Candidates will run for the posibility of being part of the MC Team. The specific questions will be completed for the
area that is the biggest priority for the applicant. The applicant MUST be opened to different switches of MC positions (depends on MCP elect).
- Use the same numbering system as the question you are responding to.
- The MCP elect reserves the option to not select individuals for a position if suitable candidates have not been put forward.
In such a situation, the MCP elect will continue to search for an appropriate candidate.

The pre-selection process
is as follows:

The MCP elect decides on the final structure and the positions of the
AIESEC Romania Member Committee 14-15

positions before others.

should be made to the National Plenary.

and perspective. This should be done at the earliest since the MC will be away for a winter break from 20th Dec –3rd Jan 2014.
