67. FabCafe Hida
Hidakuma will be renovating an old “sake”
brewery in the center of the city to create a
digital fabrication space “FabCafe”.
We will host workshops and run an annual
festival not just for creating a local
community but to expand the makers
movement by utilizing forestry assets.

Kumiki is a word in Japanese that means
“joint woods together” - popular in some
areas as “wooden puzzles”.
The project of Hidakuma on Kumiki is to
create a digital archive of the 3D data and
make an open-source database publicly
available for any creatives around the world.
