Scary Story
I woke up. I was really scared, absolutely terrified. I really didn’t want to be
alone. I saw a bright light; I couldn’t make out where I was, I could tell it was an
old rotten cabin of some sort. The smell was horrifying, it smelt like
decomposed corpses. The walls were covered in green moss and brown slime
running down them. There were holes in the wall but I was too small to look
through them. There were dead insects all over the floor, slugs dragging their
dirty bodies along and massive spiders making their nests in the corner of the
cabin. The light came off again. It was dark. I hate the dark. It makes me feel
like I am the only person on earth, like I’m always alone. The dark is like a spirit
haunting me and whenever it is dark the spirits come back. This fear had
developed from childhood as any time my parents wasn’t there I felt abandoned.
Like no-one carried for me.
The light came back again, I was relieved. I could see a silhouette coming closer
to me; the outline of a man. He reached into his back pocket. I flinched, I didn’t
want to die. He brought out a gun and placed it on the front of my head and said
‘MAKE A NOISE AND I KILL YOU!!’ My mouth was frozen, motionless, like a
statue; I didn’t have anything to say. He grabbed my legs and I wanted to
scream but I didn’t want to die so I had to keep all my fear to myself. I felt
powerless because I couldn’t do anything, he had complete control. Normally in a
moment like this I would have a lot to say, but then I had no choice but to be
silent unless I wanted to risk my life. I was dragged out the door and I saw a
car it was dirty, it was cover in cobwebs like no one had drove it for years, an
abandoned car. The car, the car was making the bright light. I suddenly had a
lot of questions rushing through my head. How long had I been there? Who
brought me there? And what did they want with me?
The man who dragged me out had black hair and a scar that went from his left
eye down to his chin. He also had a friend who had light brown hair and tanned
skin. They started arguing in another language. I’m sure it was about me because
they kept pointing in my direction and the man with the scar still had the gun in
his hand and was waving it around. His friend walked away irritated and
screeched in English “THIS WASN’T PART OF THE PLAN”. As his friend
walked away he turned around and shot him in his back. I was fearful, petrified
thinking that I was next. It happened so quickly. One minute they were both

there the next it was only me and him. No one there to save me, help me. He
turned around, looked at me in an eerie way and put his gun to my stomach and
shot me.
Darkness. Once again I’m alone, no one to turn back to, spirits coming after me.
I was running, when I saw a tunnel with a light at the end of it. I stopped and
turned around; they were still coming at me with great speed. It was my passing
time; I needed to go through the tunnel to move on. My family was left to
wondering where I was; with all my questions still unanswered I went into the
light hoping for the best.
I woke up.
I sat up my bed. Had it all just been a dream? My heart was still racing. I held
my stomach and I saw my hands. Blood. Blood was leaking from my body like
water from a tap. I felt faint. I leaned back on my bed with my heart beating
slower and slower.
