Pixel art is a form of digital art created using raster graphics software. It involves the precise manual arrangement of pixels, as tools that automatically calculate new pixel values are not considered valid for pixel art. Drawings typically start with a line art outline before pixels are placed.
Concept art is a visual representation of a design, idea, or mood created before a product is finalized, such as for films, games, or comics. A concept artist generates visual designs for items or characters that do not yet exist using software or traditional techniques.
Texture in art refers to the perceived surface quality or properties of a work, such as smooth, furry, or grainy. Both actual and visual textures can affect the feel of

Pixel Art
This is a form of digital art; it is created through the use of raster graphic
software. The term pixel art was first published by Adele Goldberg and Robert
Flegal of Xerox Palo Alto Research Center in 1982.
Image filters such as blurring or tools with automatic anti-aliasing are
considerednot valid tools for pixel art, as such tools calculate new pixel values
automatically, contrasting with the precise manual arrangement of pixels
associated with pixel art.
Drawings usually start with the line art, which is the basic line that defines the
character, building or anything else the artist is intending to draw. Line arts are
usually traced over scanned drawings and are often shared among other pixel
artists.
2. Concept Art
Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to
convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for
use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is
put into the final product. Concept art in preproduction design
maybe ambiguous, but it could have started as part of automotive
design for concept cars or part of the animation industry. You can
find reference of concept art as far back as the 1930s this shows
how long this has been used for.
A concept artist is an individual who generates a visual design for
an item, character, or area that does not yet exist.
Concept art ranges from photorealistic to
traditional painting techniques. This is facilitated by the use of
special software by which an artist is able to fill in even small
details pixel by pixel, or utilise the natural paint settings to
imitate real paint.
3. Texture Art
In the visual arts, texture is the perceived surface quality of a work of
art. It is an element of two-dimensional and three-dimensional
design and is distinguished by its perceived visual and physical
properties.
Actual texture or tactile texture, are the variations upon a surface.
This can include, but is not limited to, fur, wood grain, sand, smooth
surface of canvas or metal, glass, and leather. Specific use of a
texture can affect the smoothness that an artwork conveys. The use
of both can give a sense of personality to a design.
Visual texture is the illusion of having physical texture. Every material
and every support surface has its own visual texture and needs to be
taken into consideration before creating a composition.
4. Background Graphics
The background graphics are the graphics that are used in the
background of games. The background graphics help with
atmosphere in the game. They use background graphics because it is
better than looking at a white screen/ blank screen.
As you can see in the above image the background plays a key part in
making the game feel as good as it can and get you as involved as
you can in game.
5. Print Media Art
The print media art is normally used for the covers of games or other
things like in
advertisements to show certain things of in games without revealing
too much.
As you can see in the game cover above it is used to create a certain
image for a project or to give a distinct look to a product.
