5.  In 2016-17, schools will receive funding for each child registered for
Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the past 6 years:
-£1320 for primary pupils
-£935 for secondary pupils
 Reliant on parents registering their child- this can cause problems

8.  Poverty across generations
 Limited support at home
 ‘It is clear that the association between poverty and
underachievement remains strong and white British boys from low-
income backgrounds continue to make less progress than most other
groups’ (Ofsted, 2008)

impact (or not!)
 Team Leads- ensure consistent & quality teaching, deliver interventions,

 Ringfence funding

16.  Target pupils early on (KS1 and year 7)
 Set up summer schools
 Analyse pupil’s data thoroughly, particularly for English and maths
 Look at a long term view, not just ‘quick wins’
