How much does your idea worth? There are persons that think a good idea worth millions of dollars, but there are other that think that it doesn't matter how good an idea is, it doesn't worth a penny!

Well, I don't like neither approaches, I prefer Derek Sivers one's that I explain in this presentation.

How much an idea worth?

  1. 1. How much does your idea worth?! Thiago Paiva! ! Blog: http://startupbizmodel.com! Twitter: @ThiagoPaiva!
  2. 2. So, how much does an idea worth?!•  Some  people  thing  good  ideas  worth  millions  of  dollars  and   others  that  idea  are  worthless,  that  what  really  worth  is   execu8on.  •  I  don’t  share  neither  one  of  this  visions,  I  like  one  that  was   introduce  by  Derek  Sivers  at  O’Reilly  blog’s,  that  says  that  ideas   are  mul8pliers  and  execu8on  that  has  some  intrinsic  value.
  3. 3. After all, give some numbers!! Idea     Execu8on     Company   Mu8plier   Value   Value   IDEA  MULTIPLIER   EXECUTION  VALUE   Awful = -1 No Execution = $1 Weak = 1 Weak Execution = $1000 So-so = 5 So-so Execution = $10,000 Good = 10 Good Execution = $100,000 Great = 15 Great Execution = $1,000,000 Brilliant = 20 Brilliant Execution = $10,000,000SOURCE:  hFp://www.oreillynet.com/onlamp/blog/2005/08/ideas_are_just_a_mul8plier_of.html
  4. 4. Conclusion:!•  As  you  can  see,  ideas  are  mul8pliers  of  your  execu8on.    •  Awesome  execu8on  of  poor  ideas  s8ll  worth  a  lot.  •  Brilliant  ideas  with  poor  or  no  execu8on  worth  almost   nothing.  •  Your  idea  will  change  during  the  execu8on,  so  focus  in   execu8ng  it  and  in  adap8ng  it  to  market.
