(LOS ANGELES) (May 23, 2014)— Tanya Brown to Speak in Irvine at The Chicago School of
Professional Psychology on May 31. A psychology school California, the Irvine Branch Campus
of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) will host Tanya Brown, certified life
coach and advocate for mental health awareness, on Saturday, May 31, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
As the youngest sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, Tanya Brown has been a vocal and
well­recognized speaker against domestic violence. “Finding Peace amid the Chaos: My Escape
from Depression and Suicide” is her personal story of how masking pain, struggle and life
challenges can lead a person to a dark space that may feel impossible to overcome. Ten years
following the death of Nicole Brown Simpson, Tanya spent months in an in­patient and
out­patient program after suffering a mental breakdown. She will share her experiences along
with effective coping skills to prevent depression, anxiety, addiction and suicide, and encourage
attendees to recognize their own internal battles, so that they can take charge of their own life.
Brown is a certified life coach and has a master’s degree in counseling psychology. She is an
advocate for mental health awareness and is dedicated to removing the stigma associated with
mental illness.
