2. The markets end slightly down today. Sensex close down 64.03 falls 0.31% and
the Nifty close down 19.70 falls 0.32%, as a weak start to the year continues as investors
trim positions in blue-chips such as ICICI Bank on risk aversion ahead of quarterly
earnings results. Tata Power, ICICI Bank, SBI, Hero Motocorp and Infosys were top
losers in the Sensex. Among the gainers were ONGC, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, TCS
and HDFC. ICICI Bank provisionally fell 2.2%, while Reliance Indus. ended 1.1% lower.
