This is a microsoft powerpoint(2007) slide project based on "output devices of computer". Its a simple presentation where my classmates or students will get a basic idea of creating this type slide. So enjoy.

3. Introduction to Output device
• Electronic or electromechanical equipment connected to a
computer and used to transfer data out of the computer in
the form of text, images, sounds, or other media
• A system that provides the user with visual, tactile or
auditory feedback
• Translate the data processed by the computer into a format
that people can understand , appreciate and work with(E.g. in
vedio, text, image

5. Monitor
Monitor is an output device that
visually conveys text, graphics,
and video information.
Information shown on a display
device is called soft copy
because the information exists
electronically and is displayed
for a temporary period of time

Generally there are tow types of monitor.
1. CRT (Cathode ray tube) &
2. Flat-panel display.
Like:LCD, LED etc

Mechanism
•Electron gun shoots streams of electrons at a high voltage towards the screen
•Magnetic coil controls the flow of electrons
•Phosphor dots on the back of the screen glow when the electron beam hit them
•Electron gun do not scan it randomly but in a designed fashion
•The electron gun scans from left to right
•Then from top to bottom
•Refreshing every phosphor dot in a zigzag pattern

The printer is a device that print text

It is a peripheral output device.
Printers can be classified in two group-impact
printers and non-impact

•Dot-Matrix Printer
Dot-Matrix printers are character printer that print one character and all kind of images
as patterns of dots.
•Inkjet
Ink jet printers are character printers that form characters and all kinds of images by
spraying small drops of ink on a paper.
•Laser Printer
The Laser Printer uses a beam of leaser for the purpose of printing and it is consists of a
revolving cylinder that is made up of photoconductive material

A speaker system converts
an electrical signal to
sound.

Speaker is well known output device usually outputs sound
It is attached with the sound card of the computer
Sound can be controlled by controller
Electric signal is converted and it changes the air pressure
outside which we call sound

14. Speaker 3/3
Speakers are connected directly to a computer, its uses
are:
Used to output sound from multimedia presentetions
Used in home entertainment centers
Can help blind people
Play downloud sound files

15. Without output devices the
user cannot experience the
image ,sound, color & visibility
of the data.
Tip: Keep in mind that drives such as a CD-ROM, DVD, and a Floppy
diskette drive may be capable of sending the computer information, but they
are not output devices. These are considered storage devices.
