FUTURE EVENTS
Location. Please contact us if you
have a good location to host any of
the future events. Events should
be free and can be sponsored by
local companies. Capacity for the
venue should hold at least 50
people.
Time. Events can be morning,
afternoon or evening on most
weekdays. Currently we’ve
decided after work on a weeknight
seems to fit easiest with most
schedules. We’ll try to provide at
least a 3 week notice for future
events.
Ideas. We are looking for
feedback on type of topics for
future events. Depending on
experience level material can be
adjusted to help build the group.
Location TIME IDEAS
Format. We can create hands-on
learning events or we can focus on
discussions and how individuals
are utilizing Tableau in their work
environment.
Volunteers. Looking for
volunteers that have material or
topics they would like to present
and looking for experienced
members to help other members
when questions arise.
Happy Hour. Future happy hour
to help meet people with help from
a little liquor courage. Willing to
accept sponsors.

• Initial email 3-4+ weeks prior to the event (directly from Tableau, event will also be posted
to Eventbrite & the user group page)
• User group email a few days before or after the initial email
• Final/reminder email a week prior to the event deadline
• Not receiving emails or would like to receive emails
• Join the user group page (emails will be sent directly to user group members)

• Tableau implemented a “moderator” system for forum posts
• Posts can be delayed until verified by Tableau forum moderators, URL links will usually
trigger a post to be reviewed

10. TIPS
• Monday night welcome reception, Tuesday night is Data Night Out
• I suggest taking certifications on Monday vs. Thursday (so you can enjoy
the conference and not have to study while events are happening)
• Review the schedule before arriving for the event
• Pick multiple presentations that you want to see for each time slot
• Presentations might fill up and might fill up quickly, if this happens I suggest
staying in one room/area, or choosing presentations in larger rooms
• Rooms will empty out for lunch and key notes
• Attend presentations with your favorite presenters
• Think about higher level courses/presentations
• If you have some Tableau experience I suggest Advance and Jedi level

• Conference starts early for breakfast (7AM)
• Download the Tableau conference app (http://tc15.tableau.com/app)
• Some events may get rescheduled or additional sessions might be added
• Also you’ll get notifications when lunch is serving, a keynote is about to
start, additional events outside conference hours
• Conference ends early on Thursday (however additional events will be
happening after the final keynote, check the app)
• Bring a portable charger
• The conference is fast paced if you are trying to attend as many events as
you can
• Don’t gamble using the corporate credit card
