 Born and raised in California
 Associates Degree from Modesto Junior
College 1992
 Bachelors degree from University of the
Pacific on a full ride academic scholarship

 Masters degree from University of Phoenix
2006
 7 years experience teaching courses in
English, Accounting, Mathematics,
Business, Computers, E-commerce, and
History at the high school and college level
 Microsoft Office Certified Instructor for
Word and Excel
 Father of four ages 8, 9, 11, and 13

7. Policies
• Food and beverages (with the exception of
water) are not allowed in the classroom.
• Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as
class begins at that time.
• Late Work
 Daily homework assignments will not be accepted late.
For long-term assignments, late work will be accepted at a
20% point reduction per day late. Any long-term
assignment more than five days late will not be accepted.
A long-term assignment will be announced as such in
class.
• Absences
 Ask team members or a classmate first for
assignments.
 Each absence has a one-day grace period.

8. Grading
• Grades are based on the accumulation of
points.
• Points are based on:
 Class participation
(effort)
 Completion of assignments
(daily work)
 Major projects, exams, and
self-reflection
• Grades are posted online and updated every
Sunday.

• 90-100% = A
• 80-89% = B
• 70-79% = C
• 60-69% = D
• Below 60% = F
