With the LDU688XLB, RES-ingenium confirms his continuous improvement strategy,
keeping moving to a new line of pallets thus breaking the link with the stereotype of the
classic layout Ex-Motorola (115x85mm), which until now has been the reference for the
projects of UHF amplifiers.

The goal is to be able to take full advantage of the services offered by the new generation
of power devices (LDMOS) available on the market today. The new size 133x98mm will
still allow you to combine into 19 "rack 4 pallets ensuring continuity with the structure of the
amplifier modules of the AU and XU series.

The available space has been used to optimize the matching of the BLF888BS and his
heat transfer capability; engineers have taken utmost care in the choice and placement of
these critical components in the biasing circuit with excellent results.

Based on the data declared by the Manufacturer (NXP) in the Application Note AN11062
NXP, Figure 1 and Figure 2 here below, RES-Ingenium confirmed with tests on the
LDU688XLB that devices BLF888BS, with better heat dissipation because soldered on the
heat sink, can guarantee improved performances (MER, Shoulders and efficiency) and
MTBF characteristics over any other UHF power pallet available today on the market.

The LDU688XLB is extremely easy to correct and typical temperature of the ceramic at
220Wrms output power are exceptionally low (see thermal picture here below) because of
the further improved RES-Ingenium devices soldering technique.

The devices are soldered on a silver plated copper carrier with a special galvanized alloy. In this way
the carrier works as an extension of the flange of the device, greatly increasing the capacity of
dissipation of the system.

This strategic choice of RES-Ingenium to break away from traditional pallet, both in size
and technology used, focusing on innovations, has already given excellent results that can
be summarized in much lower working temperature of any pallet amplifier with screw fixed
devices, dramatically increasing the MTBF of the system, with higher efficiency and easier
correction of linearity.
