For 45-50 pieces we are going to need

The homemade preparation of frumenty is taking place mainly
during summer and usually in August. In order to make 5 kg of
frumenty we use 7.5 of wheat flour, 4, 5 kg fresh milk and 100
We boil the milk and when it gets cool we blend with the flour
and the salt. We knead the mix and we separate it in small
pieces that we leave for 1 day in a shady place in order to get
The next day we rub every little piece of frumenty in a special
grater and we leave the grated pieces in a table for 2-3 days in
order to lose their wetness. Eventually we store the product
in glass made vases.
For 4 serves we need:
• 4 caps of water
• 12 full spoons of frumenty
• 2 full spoons of butter.
