Paige Ward is currently studying BTEC in Creative Media at Eccles Sixth Form Centre and hopes to study photography at university. She has a passion for photography and enjoys taking and editing images in her free time. Paige has worked part-time for 7 months at a cafe, which has helped improve her confidence through customer interactions. Her goal is to further develop her photography skills and potentially pursue a career involving photography or film.

Personal Statement
I am currently a student at Eccles Sixth Form Centre. I am studying BTEC in Creative Media. I am hoping to go
to university studying photography, I enjoy taking and editing the images. Going to university will help me get
more experience and might help me get better skills for job. I also enjoy using cameras to film or take photos, I
enjoyed studying photography for 2 years in school and learnt a variety of new skills. Outside of school I take
and edit images using Adobe Photoshop for fun. I have a part time job which shows I am reliable, I am also
hard working. I am mainly interested in doing music photography.
I attended Wentworth High School during high school I studied Maths, BTEC Science, English, Physical
Education, Photography and Drama. I was unsure about what I wanted to do in the future and I found
Photography and drama interesting and fun. I enjoyed both of these subjects, but I only want to carry on with
photography. I chose Media in college because it included photography, also when I was looking at the course I
thought it looked interesting. I would like to go to university to carry on with photography because it is
something I enjoy leaning about and I would like to learn new skills, I think I would be enthusiastic and
consistent when it comes to doing the assignments.
I am a friendly and confident student who is ambitious and highly motivated. I do a lot of photography outside
of college for fun. I have a few friends who are in unsigned bands and I have done some photo shoots for
them. I have also filmed one of them performing some of their songs, I enjoyed doing this and I would also like
something involving film.I also read a lot some of the books I have read are ‘Now is good, by Jenny Downham’
‘A Witch in love by RuthWarburton.’ I have also read all the Harry Potter books by J.K Rowling she is one of my
favourite’s writers.
In year 10 I did my work experience with year 2’s in a primary school I enjoyed doing this, I helped them with
reading, maths, art and writing. I work in a café part time I enjoy speaking to the customers. I have been
working here for 7 months, working here has given me more confidence because I have to speak to the
customers and not stay quiet.
I think media is a big part of my life my personal life as well as me studying it, not only media but photography.
I love taking and editing pictures and it is one of my favourite hobbies. I get out with my camera as much as I
can.
