One important event was the “Woodrow Wilson's 14 Points Speech”. On January 8, 1918,
Wilson Woodrow, the president of the United States of that time, stood in front of a joint
session of Congress and gave a speech called "The 14 Points." Woodrow was hoping to find
a way to not only end the war peacefully, but to ensure that it would never happen again.

Point 1: Wilson asked that there were no more secret alliances between the countries
involved in WW1
Point 2: Since USA entered to the war because of Germany's announcement of unlimited
submarine warfare, Wilson advocated for the open use of the seas.

Point 4: Woodrow proposed the reduction of armaments.
Point 5: He offered to address the needs of colonial people.
Point 6-13: This eight points discussed specific land claims per country.

Point 14: This was the most important point. Woodrow asked for an
international organization to be established that would be responsible
for helping to keep peace among the nations.

On March 3rd, The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk occurred. These, were peace treaties made in
Brest-Litovsk, signed by the central powers, that were: Germany, Austria and Russia. These
treaties concluded hostilities between those countries during World War One.

Another important event occurred the March 21th, when Germany launches the Spring
Offensive. Erich Ludendorff, a general of german army, ordered a massive number of
troops to attack on the Western Front. The Spring Offensive was Germany’s attempt to end
World War One. With 500,000 troops added to Germany’s strength from the Russian
Front, Ludendorff was confident of success.
8. October8th,1918
On October 8, 7 U.S. soldiers were surrounded by Germans in France. But, Alvin York, an
U.S. sergeant, was given command and he shooted 20 Germans and captured 132 more.
This created a huge tension between USA and Germany.

The Battle of Vittorio Veneto occurred from October 24th to November 3rd. Was fought
near Vittorio Veneto on the italian Front during World War I. The Italian victory marked
the end of the war on the Italian Front, secured the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian
Empire.

Finally, The last day of WW1 was November 11th 1918, known as
Armistice Day. In Despite of it was the last day of the war, many parts
of the Western Front continued fighting as normal. Nevertheless, the
people of Paris, London and New York were celebrating the end of
World War One.

different events, it was important because of the end of World War
One. This end caused relief in the people all around the world.
