GROUPS, COMPANIES AND
APPLICATIONS

                        © Eden Enterprises 2012
Groups
The power tool of LinkedIn and your best opportunity to network. Groups are
informal communities formed around industries, professions, niche topics etc.
Any LinkedIn member can create one and there are now over a million groups.
• Find and join the right groups, and it's easy to keep up with news and trends,
make connections, ask and answer questions and even land new clients
• Borrow ideas - Searching is useful, but so is following the lead of people you
respect. Go to their profile page and check out the groups that person
belongs to, and one or two may match your goals
• Watch, listen and get a feel for how the group operates and then gradually
start to participate with comments and postings to raise your profile
Search for Groups:
Click the dropdown next to the Search box and
select Groups. Enter your keyword(s) to view the
options available. Or, go to the Groups Directory
under the Groups tab and search keywords

                                                                    © Eden Enterprises 2012
Companies

A Company Page is a place for companies to provide more information about their
products and services, job opportunities and company culture. Any LinkedIn member can
follow a company that has set up a Company Page to get updates on key developments.
To follow a company:
• Click the Companies tab at the top of your homepage and search for a company.
Then click Follow Company in the upper right of the company's Overview page, OR
• Move your cursor over a company name on someone's personal profile, and then
click Follow Company from the mini Company Page if one appears, or click on the
    link and follow
                                                                        © Eden Enterprises 2012
LinkedIn Apps

LinkedIn Applications enable you to enrich your profile, share and
collaborate with your network, and get the key insights that
   help you be more effective.
Apps, eg your blog or legal updates, are added to your homepage
and profile enabling you to control who gets access to your
   information.
