SUMMARY OF GREAT FALLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The teachers at Great Falls use a variety of effective technological
strategies to engage students through innovative , challenging
curriculum that is focused on inquiry-based , hands-on learning.
Teachers work collaboratively to create a culture of excellence by using
technology to support learning across the curriculum to address the
specific needs of students based on assessment data. As a professional
development School with Winthrop University, teachers use the Lucy
Camera to reflect on their teaching practices as well as sharing their
knowledge about integrating technology into the curriculum with other
teachers locally and nationally.

Dana Elementary School takes an interdisciplinary
approach to instruction for all students. The core of
Dana’s education model emphasizes collaborative

that infuses music, dance, theatre, visual arts drama,

is meaningful to them . Students learn about the arts
from different countries, act of skits, and learn the
history of music, instruments, and dance that
originated from different countries and cultures.

The arts are integrated into the core curriculum which
enables the students to gain deeper meaning and
understand of subject content as well enabling the
students to show their creativity.

Teachers incorporate the arts into curriculum to foster
critical thinking, creativity, and deeper meaning into
the learning process. Students who attend The Toledo
School of the Arts gain a culturally relevant education
which gives them hands-on experience that can be
used in and out of the classroom.

SUMMARY OF GREAT FALLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL The teachers at Great Falls use a variety of effective technological strategies to engage students through innovative , challenging curriculum that is focused on inquiry-based , hands-on learning. Teachers work collaboratively to create a culture of excellence by using technology to support learning across the curriculum to address the specific needs of students based on assessment data.
