Media is?
Media that is a creative tool to increase
public knowledge and awareness it also sets
out to analyse current social issues and
problems and bring to public attention. And
lastly it encourages people to take action in
response to what they have seen or heard.
3. What is Community Media?
Community action campaigns are mostly
centred around smaller local communities.
Combating issues that have affected that
particular community.

media are. (You can do two separate definitions)
You will choose three campaigns as the basis of your
presentation
You will discuss the purpose and impact of each. Link
purpose to the list and explain what that campaign is
trying to do. For impacts you will look at; how well has
it worked? Try and find statistics that show you how
well their campaign went? State whether you felt
their campaign was good and explain why.
